Linking the D8 Coastal Road to Plitvice Lakes the D25 is a treat to ride. Leaving Karlobag you climb up in to the mountains with pleasant views out to sea. After the Velibit Park you lose sight of the sea and head inland winding down through Tree Lined mountain sides to Gospic. From Gospic to Siroka Kula is a bit bland but then the roads and scenery improve. While we were there major road works were taking place involving little warning before hitting areas under construction with associated machinery. It should be fantastic when done. The treat at the end is a visit to The Plitvice Lakes, a must do if you are in the area but allow at least half a day to experience it. A full day is better.
