made an afternoon out of the decision to take Hwy 16 west. Rode from Buffalo over to Tensleep, down through Thermopolis to Shoshone, across through Dubois to Moran, down to Jackson, over to Victor Id, across to Idaho Falls, then through Arco and crates of the Moon.Riding was awesome with a mix of everything, Police were almost non existant and weather was mostley great. Surprisingly for a late July day, traffic was mostly very light, especially on 16, but heavy around Jackson
Breathtaking views through the Ten Sleep Canyon and great switchbacks
This is an awesome piece of road. It's not Beartooth Pass but it's in the area and if you're heading to Cody you ought to get off the slab and hit Hwy 16. We hit this one riding west from the Black Hills. The surface is good, the curves are numerous and the scenery is great all through Big Horn National Park. the canyon at the west end is terrific! Highly recommended!
Glad I made the last minute decision to head down Hwy 16 at Buffalo.
Great road and once I was over the stop the weather turned for the good, was happy to be out of the storm on the other side
