Been riding this route every couple of years since the 70´s, The road follows the river almost exactly, crossing over it several times. Many good views of the scenic river and hill country around it. Over the years it has really built up with vacation homes, camp grounds, resorts, tubers, rafters, campers, and sight seer´s. If you go on the weekend during the spring and summer, be prepared to crawl along behind lines of RV´s, busses carrying tubers and rafters up and down the river, people looking for river access, and tourists. Lots of other bikers there all year. Best time to ride is during the winter off season, during the week, early in the day. Beautiful Twisty Road, ruined by tourist, RV´s, bicyclist, cops, 20-30 mph speed limit. Don´t go on weekends or anytime during the summer.
