Nice bike run along the coast of County Londonderry! Ride from pleasant market town of Limavady out to Magilligan Point. A car ferry plies the narrows of Lough Foyle from here to Greencastle in County Donegal. The Point Bar out here is a great pub! Good food, brilliant Guinness... and (well, we are in charge of a vehicle) good coffee! The sand dunes hereabouts are an ecosystem of international importance. Watch out for porpoise off the Point (and the occasional dolphin and basking shark). On the run around to Castlerock, divert in to Benone and take a look at this 9 mile long broad sandy beach. The flat topped mountains are the product of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, geological activity that spewed out lava that solidified like layers of cake icing across an ancient landscape. You aren\'t far from the legendary North West bike road race course - head for Coleraine / Portrush / Portstewart.
