Now the evenings are lighter this is my evening sunset blast. Combine this route in a loop Milford-A283-Petworth-A285-Chichester-A286-Milford Circuit Some beautiful scenery, nice towns and villages, bit of history, and some awesome sweeping corners. There are sections to be wary of due to traffic and farm entrances- take care. Normal road rules apply, road kill is common as are slurry slicks near farms, the surface is good but watch out for potholes. Starting at Milford roundabout decide which way to run the route, cool both ways. The A283 through witley starts out bland and poorly surfaced, but stick with it. The corner next to Witley cricket pitch is a taste of whats to come. Build up the revs as you exit Chiddingfold and the fun begins. The corners uphill into Northchapel are the some of the best on the route. On through Petworth the road improves all the time. Heading over the South Downs make sure you stop at the view point. Sweeping corners and long straights abound all the way on to Chichester. Stopping off in Chichester is definately worth it, then circle the ring road and head out towards Midhurst. The next section is back to fluid sweepers and country straights. The Earl of march pub is a good spot for a half with a great view. Entering Midhurst watch out for the worst roundabout in christendom. The long straight leaving the village behind is temptation to us sports types, but be careful as the road dips concealing traffic and overtaking rover 25's. The next section through the trees takes nerves and grip. Sweeping on into Haslemere the surface gets poorer, corners are still steady though. All the way back to milford and lap 2, the other way?
Nice road during the week but too many weekend drivers around on Sat/Sun. Frequent 'convoys' that can sometimes be hard to get past safely.
Lots of medium speed bends through some nice scenary, well worth a look.
