Stunning road. The scenery is spectacular, the road even more so! Some very tight, technical and demanding stretches that will challenge most riders and their bikes. Try and ride a couple of lesser passes or stretches first to limber yourself up. :) I rode to the Austrian border and then back and found the descent even more fun. Not too much traffic at midday on an August Friday, a few cars who usually cooperate with bikes and if they don , you can out-accelerate away from them on every hairpin exit!!
Seriously frantic, busy (in June) and narrow. Incredible geological landscape rising out of the ground, so great views. Lots of other traffic can cause problems on this quite demanding technical pass, frequently oncoming vehicles will come onto your side of the road.
