always be aware for the unexpected - road works, bad spots on the tarmac, split etc .... but hey - it's the Ardennes so that's normal. Never go there without raingear - sofar haven't managed to go there without getting "a drop" of rain.
The route follows the N89 road from La Roche to Vielsalm. The start of the route from La Roche, uphill, is used as a hill climb in June each year when the roads are closed one way. Very technical uphill section through trees and forests. Once out in the fairly open countryside the route is great to get speed up and lots of sweeping bends. Great to ride in both directions but haven't been there for a couple of years now and miss the fun.
(Admin: Comment moved from another route) I have only ridden the Salm Chateau - Banneu - Vielsalm section of this. Some nice open corners with good visibility. Some discrepencies in the road and some obstructions that prevent overtaking, but nothing serious, still pretty good. GPS co-ords for this section are: Start: N 50.2683, E 5.88784 End: N 50.2491, E 5.75074
